Happy Birthday EverQuest II

Today is EQII's 4th birthday. I started playing EQII 4 years ago today when myself and several of my guild-mates from EQ created characters on Crushbone. Four years ago I was working as software developer at a consulting company in Memphis Tennessee. I'm really lucky to have been part of the EQII development team for the past 2 years and I look forward to many more years in the industry.

I think as a player of EQ2, we're lucky to have you as one of the devs!

Hey Greg how does it feel to be working for the sinking ship that is EQ2?

I absolutely love it, thank you for asking! We have an awesome community of dedicated players and I still look forward to coming to work every day and working hard to try male the game as fun as possible for everyone. Not sure what you mean by sinking ship since just about every mmo in existance loses players steadily since launch. That's just the nature of games getting older and people looking for new things to do. If you think that eqii isn't successful then you are sadly mistaken.

I hope you're having a happy holiday!

Hey Greg,

EQ2 is a great game - no doubt. But please do not forget us on the Venekor server who are suffering badly cause of the extremelly low player population. Please help us...

Darkor,

We haven't forgotten. This is a very active topic internally and we plan on making changes in the future. It just takes time to work out those details because players often time want different solutions to the same problem. We obviously want to please as many people as possible, so we have to make sure we go about it the right way. There are also legal issues and commitments that we have to take into consideration when it comes to Station Exchange servers like Vox.
